Open Question: does my first love still think of me?

Hey. So me and my ex dated for about 2 and a half years. We recently broke up a little over a month ago. She was my first love and I was her first love as well. A couple weeks after being broken up she came back to me and said she wanted me back. Of course I agreed because she meant the world to me and I loved her so much. However, this time around her family got in the way of it and prevented us from dating. Her mom convinced her that she should date around because her mom knows alot of couples that were each other's first love and went on to get married only to get divorced. I guess her mom really got to her. She wanted to see what was out there other then me. Our relationship was going really well. I felt like I gave everything into this relationship. We still wanted to be with eachother so much but she decided that she didn't want to upset her family so she said she couldn't date me. After that, we still texted each other and stuff a lot. She would still call me handsome and cutie and all that stuff. She also she misses the old times. This past weekend we were going to meet up and I was going to give her something back just as an excuse to see her and she knew it as well. She said she was going to hug me like never before. That was the night before the weekend. The next day i texted her to ask if she was busy. For some odd reason, she acted way different in the text like she didn't want to talk to me and she said she was busy. She never texted back so I didn't bother about the meeting up thing. We haven't talked ever since and I recently found out from her friend that she has found another guy she likes and they started hanging out that weekend. I'm pretty hurt by this. How could she say all those things one night and the next day act so differently. How could she recover from the break up so quick when she was so head over heels for me?
